Svante Henryson is best known for his work with Yngwie Malmsteen when it comes to hard rock,
but he is also featured on albums with other heavy acts from Sweden such as Glory and Lion's Share among others.
Svante Henryson did two albums and world tours with Yngwie Malmsteen in the early 90s,
the Eclipse tour 1990 and the Fire and Ice tour 1992.
Since then, Svante has continued to play for an international audience and has earned himself a reputation as an astonishing instrumentalist. To the left:

Mr. Skivimport met Svante Henryson in his dressing room backstage after the concert in Västerås. Svante signed some memorabilia and also gave Mr. Skivimport access to the stage, where Svante showed his gear.
Svante accepted that his pedal board was photographed and revealed that it was custom built in March 2011 by Göran Elmquist at the Swedish company Sound Of Silence.
Göran Elmquist is very renowned in the area of building guitar rigs and pedal boards.
For example, during 2011 he built some customized stuff for Fredrik Åkesson of Opeth for the Heritage tour 2011.
Pontus Norgren of Hammerfall also had a pedal board built by Sound Of Silence in 2011, to be used on the Hammerfall European Outbreak tour 2011.
Svante Henryson's pedal board consists of a BOSS TU-2 Chromatic tuner, MOTU UltraLite mk3 audio interface, CIOKS TC10 power supply for pedals, Pro Co RAT 2 distortion pedal from 1988, Road Rage signal switching pedal, Road Rage True Bypass switcher used for a mute purpose, Road Rage mini volume pedal used to kick in the delay, TC Electronic Nova Repeater RPT-1 delay pedal and a Mad Professor Snow White AutoWah pedal.
Included in the set up is also an Apple I-phone, which can be used for backing tracks.
Svante's RAT 2 distortion pedal has a blue LED. When the original red LED was broken, it was replaced 2011 by a blue one.
|Collector's notice: The ticket stub to the left is from the show in Gothenburg on April 6, which was the second concert of the Eclipse tour 1990. The ticket to the right has the wrong date, since it says February 18; the Eclipse tour was postponed and the actual concert date in Karlskoga became April 8, which was the fourth gig during the Eclipse tour 1990. Alert for die hard fans: The two concerts mentioned above featured Swedish drummer Michael Von Knorring, who only did a handful of live shows with Yngwie Malmsteen. Michael Von Knorring played drums on the Eclipse studio album, but had to bow out from the Eclipse tour after only four gigs due to personal reasons. He was replaced by Ian Gillan's former band member Peter Barnacle. The latter did the drumming for Yngwie Malmsteen throughout the Eclipse world tour 1990.|

The ticket stub is from Yngwie Malmsteen's concert at Glam Slam in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 19, 1992.

LION'S SHARE featuring Svante Henryson
Svante Henryson has contributed to the Swedish progressive/neo classical heavy metal band Lion's Share, led by guitar maestro Lars Chriss.
Svante Henryson is featured on the band's third full length studio album Fall from Grace, which was released in 1999.
Thumbs up with Lars Chriss in Solnahallen on September 24, 2011.
By the way… 25 years ago on almost exactly the same date, Solnahallen in Stockholm, Sweden, was the place where Metallica played their last gig together with bassist Cliff Burton. (R.I.P.1962-1986)
The concert took place in Solnahallen on September 26, 1986 during the European leg of the Damage, Inc. tour and Cliff Burton was killed the next day on September 27 in a tour bus accident in Sweden.
